Job summary

First Solar Inc. in Gaffney, SC is seeking a Technician- Maintenance Electrical/Controls I to install, test, and maintain all manufacturing equipment controls on the AM shift.

You will troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues, support throughput, and collaborate with the Controls and IT teams to implement improvements. The role requires 3–7 years of electrical/controls experience, an associate degree (preferred), and the ability to read prints and work independently.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronic/controls experience required.
• Associate Degree preferred; journeyman's card preferred.
• 5+ years of related field experience if no degree acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Implements, tests, and maintains manufacturing equipment controls.
• Performs maintenance of equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Assist in installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment; troubleshoot daily issues; identify system improvements.
