Job summary

AMP - Accelerated Mobile Power seeks an Electrical & Controls TFA to provide hands‑on electrical and industrial controls field expertise for mobile turbine generator packages. You will install, verify, commission, and troubleshoot switchgear, transformers, protection systems, and SCADA/telemetry components in field conditions.

The role requires 10–15 years of hands‑on experience, a Bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel up to 80% with extended shifts.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years hands-on experience in industrial electrical and controls installation/commissioning.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; equivalent experience considered.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and network diagrams.
• Proven troubleshooting capability across electrical/controls boundaries in a field environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80%) and work extended shifts in field conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical safety by following LOTO, arc-flash controls, energized work rules, and permit-to-work.
• Prepare and participate in JSA/JHA, pre-task briefs, and hazard identification for commissioning activities.
• Verify installation and termination of generator output, transformer/switchgear interfaces, and feeder cabling.
• Configure and verify industrial communications, including Modbus TCP/RTU, OPC UA, and telemetry links.
• Complete commissioning check sheets and as-built updates for wiring and network details.
• Maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA configurations and test packs; diagnose faults across power and automation boundaries.
