Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Anna, OH is seeking an Electrical Equipment Engineer to design, program, and commission electrical and control systems across automated machining lines to maximize equipment uptime.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 0–6 years in automated manufacturing, with PLC/HMI proficiency and strong problem-solving skills. Occasional weekend support and plant shutdown coverage may be needed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industrial equipment experience.
• 0-6 years of electrical and controls engineering experience in automated manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron), HMIs, and robotics.
• PDCA and data analytics skills; able to troubleshoot and implement countermeasures.

About the Role:

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking an Electrical Equipment Engineer at our engine manufacturing facility in Anna, OH. You will design, program, and commission electrical and control systems (PLCs, HMIs, servos) across automated machining lines to maximize equipment uptime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, program, and commission electrical hardware and control software for automated machine installations.
• Optimize equipment installation standards to improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and MTTR.
• Conduct root cause troubleshooting on automated line breakdowns and implement engineering countermeasures.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PLC architectures, industrial networking, and servo position controls.
• Train and mentor maintenance technicians on machine controls diagnostics and change point management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industrial equipment experience.
• 0-6 years of electrical and controls engineering experience in automated manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of PLC programming (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Omron), HMIs, and robotics.
• Strong problem-solving methodology (PDCA) and data analytics capabilities.
• Flexibility to support equipment tryouts during weekends and scheduled plant shutdowns.
