Job summary

TWB Monroe invites Electrical/Controls Engineering interns for Summer 2027, running May 17 to August 13, 2027. Interns will work on hands-on projects on the plant floor and in the office, mentored by experienced engineers to apply classroom knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges.

Selected interns gain exposure to data acquisition, PLC programming, and control systems, with professional development in communication, teamwork, and problem solving, culminating in opportunities for

Qualifications

Major in an Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or Computer Engineering within an ABET accredited program
Completion of Sophomore Year by summer of 2027
Strong background in MS Office, Excel
Understanding of Programmable Logix Controllers
Data Analytics experience
Proficient in using computers, learning new systems, and critical thinking
Active listener who can receive and follow directions
Punctuality and commitment to doing the job right
Interest in Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Assist with engineering projects on PLC and data acquisition.
Support the development and testing of control systems on the plant floor and in the office.
Collaborate with mentors and engineers to gain hands-on experience and translate classroom knowledge to real-world applications.
Document project progress and present findings to the team.
Contribute to safety and lean manufacturing practices on site.
