Job summary

Sea America Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to contribute to the implementation and troubleshooting of control systems, PLC/HMI commissioning, data collection, and process optimization.

The role requires hands-on support of manufacturing tools and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in controls engineering, a relevant engineering degree, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing equipment controls engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with controls engineering techniques and practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/electronic control systems.
• Experience with AutoCAD for electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Knowledge of Rockwell Logix PLCs, HMI, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support US customer manufacturing tool controls.
• Assist with installation and implementation of new equipment.
• Maintain and update electrical drawings and document changes.
• Troubleshoot equipment controls issues and suggest policy updates.
• Coordinate with multiple departments and customer stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communication and team collaboration.
• Ensure safety procedures and housekeeping standards are followed.
• Participate in safety training and OSHA 10 certifications as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
