Job summary

Cindavi in Kentucky is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, improve, program, and support equipment that keeps our manufacturing operation moving. This hands-on role covers project ownership, from electrical drawings and BOMs to PLC logic modifications and process enhancements.

You will work onsite with maintenance and production teams to diagnose root causes, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2+ years hands-on electrical-controls or industrial automation experience.
Experience with PLC programming including Ladder Logic; Allen-Bradley preferred.
CAD design experience (AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN) with schematics and revisions.
Proven ability to diagnose and solve plant-floor electrical or controls problems.
Onsite manufacturing experience.
Experience in heavy manufacturing sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create electrical designs, BOMs, and CAD drawings for equipment, upgrades, and projects.
Modify and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic.
Support machine startup, controls integration, sensors, HMI, motion, and VFD applications.
Collaborate with maintenance and production to diagnose root causes and reduce downtime.
Coordinate with engineers, vendors, and stakeholders from design to implementation.
Contribute to continuous improvement and uptime in a fast-moving plant.
