Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions is seeking an Automation Controls Engineer in Shelbyville, Kentucky to design, troubleshoot, and improve PLC and HMI control systems with a hands-on, manufacturing-focused approach.

You will support equipment startups, drive process improvements, and work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime while implementing automation upgrades across robotic, motion control, and networking systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5+ years of manufacturing controls engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix, PanelView, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, servo drives, and VFDs.
• Experience supporting manufacturing equipment (not IT systems).
• U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR requirements.
• Local to the Shelbyville area or willing to relocate within 45 miles.

What We're Looking For
