Job summary

Fresenius Kabi in Grand Island, NE is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support electrical control systems for site utilities and production equipment. You will work under the Senior Engineer to improve plant efficiency, ensure validated states of systems, and maintain regulatory compliance.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 1–3 years’ experience, knowledge of NEC and high voltage, and PLC/HMI expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 1–3 years’ experience.
• Experience with The National Electric Code and high voltage up to 460 volts preferred.
• Experience reading schematics and ladder logic; PLC/HMI experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development, implementation, and technical support for on-site control systems architecture (PLC, HMI, and industrial IT network).
• Maintain Facility Monitoring System and Building Management System in a validated state (calibration, maintenance, updates).
• Develop and implement improvements for efficiency, safety, and preventing equipment obsolescence; assist with capital projects and related documentation.
• Support rebuilding and upgrading site utility systems and production equipment across manufacturing areas.
• Ensure validated state of equipment and compliance with cGMP, OSHA, DEC, EPA, ISO and local regulations; liaise with vendors for technical support.
