Job summary
ASIC Corporation, a West Chester, Ohio based motion control distributor & systems integration firm, is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer with experience in designing electrical systems, PLC/HMI/servo control, and AutoCAD. The role includes programming PLCs, drives, and HMIs at in-house and customer sites, with travel about 30% across the continental US.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 3 years related experience, strong problem-solving
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or 3 years of related field experience.
- Minimum 3 years PLC, HMI, and servo control experience.
- Experience with schematic design software (AutoCAD).
- Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage project hours, schedules, and interface with customers.
- Some travel is required.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and prepare component specs/BOMs.
- Troubleshoot and debug electrical designs.
- Program PLCs, drives, and HMIs at in-house and customer sites.
- Travel to customer sites up to ~30% of the time.
