Job summary

Security Automation Systems is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, configure, procure, construct and install components for integrated security and control systems. The role reports to the VP of Engineering and is overtime exempt.

The position requires PLC programming and HMI development experience, integrated systems design, and a 4-year technical engineering degree, with travel to Midwest facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Recent PLC programming and HMI development experience.
• Integrated systems design experience helpful for security control implementations.
• Driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Work from customer specifications to design and develop security control systems.
• Program and test security electronics equipment at midwest facilities.
• Facilitate security electronics system commissioning (start-up) of projects.
• Diplomatically respond to clients with professionalism during the project lifecycle.
• Take substantial ownership of assigned projects with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive budgets on assigned project functions.
• Provide supervision of field technicians and temporary labor.
