Job summary

REISER is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer in Canton, MA to design and commission electrical control systems for automated food manufacturing equipment. The role requires expertise in Rockwell platforms, PLC/ HMI programming, FAT/SAT testing, and collaboration with mechanical and manufacturing teams.

On-site work is required with up to 25% travel. The ideal candidate will hold a 2-year degree or higher in electrical engineering and have 4+ years of related experience, familiar with safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 4+ years designing and implementing industrial control and automation systems.
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation platforms including CompactLogix and Micro 800 PLCs, PanelView 5000/800HMIs, CCW, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 79, UL 508A, CSA, IEC safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Specify and select electrical and control system components in compliance with applicable safety standards.
• Design electrical control systems, schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and network architecture using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Program, commission, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and Ethernet networks, primarily Rockwell platforms.
• Provide remote technical support and participate in FAT/SAT, UL/CSA inspections.
