Job summary

Burke Porter, An Ascential Technologies Company in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an experienced controls engineer to provide complete control systems for machines with minimal assistance. You will communicate with customers and project teams to define system requirements, operations, and schedules while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities include start-ups, coordinating installation services, programming and troubleshooting with assembly and engineering teams, and creating electrical prints

Qualifications

• BSEE with emphasis on controls or systems design.
• 5+ years experience in controls or systems design preferred.
• Proficient with AB and Siemens PLCs; VFD experience beneficial.
• Basic understanding of industrial networking, pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Provide complete control systems for machines with minimal assistance.
• Define system requirements, operation, and schedule with stakeholders across multiple projects.
• Assist with machine start-ups and coordinate installation services as needed.
• Program and troubleshoot control systems with assembly and engineering teams.
