Job summary

LeoForce in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission electrical control systems for industrial equipment. You will bridge electrical design with hands-on controls engineering, including panel design, PLC programming, and troubleshooting.

The role emphasizes designing control architectures, developing diagrams and I/O documentation, and supporting FAT/SAT activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in electrical controls, automation, industrial controls, or related engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs / ControlLogix / Studio 5000.
  • Experience with FactoryTalk.
  • Experience designing electrical control systems and/or control panels.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring, I/O, and instrumentation.
  • Experience with industrial automation and process equipment.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs and develop controls based on process requirements.
  • Experience with commissioning, startup, FAT/SAT, and troubleshooting.
  • Industrial/manufacturing/process environment experience preferred.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical and control systems for industrial process equipment.
  • Develop control-panel designs, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and I/O documentation.
  • Program and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs using Studio 5000.
  • Develop and maintain FactoryTalk HMI/SCADA applications.
  • Integrate instrumentation, sensors, valves, motors, and other electrical/control components.
  • Develop control narratives and sequence-of-operation documentation.
  • Support electrical component selection and control-system architecture.
  • Review P&IDs and translate process requirements into automated control strategies.
  • Participate in FAT/SAT activities and equipment testing.
