Job summary

Actalent seeks a Controls Engineer to design, program, debug, and support automated production systems in an Maryville, TN facility. You will provide electrical design input, assist in development efforts, and troubleshoot a range of electrical controls equipment.

The role requires PLC programming, Robot RC8, HMI, and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency, with a 5+ year track record and a bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechatronics (or equivalent).

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer or in a related role.
  • Formal training or extensive experience with PLCs (OMRON CJ & NJ).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electrical Technology, or Mechatronics; an Associate degree with relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, debug, and support automated systems and automation equipment for production.

Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

The Controls Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, debugging, and supporting automated systems and automation equipment for production. This role requires providing electrical design input and assisting in concept and development efforts within the facility through infrastructure, programming, or design. Extensive skills in PLC, Robot, Human Machine Interface (HMI), and electrical controls are necessary. The engineer will also offer troubleshooting assistance on all electrical and controls equipment to resolve issues and gather data.

Responsibilities

  • Design, program, debug, and support automated systems and automation equipment for production.
  • Provide electrical design input and assist in concept and development efforts within the facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
