We are looking for an experienced and highly-qualified Controls Engineer with at least 10 years of industrial experience to oversee the development of automated control systems. The ideal candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, experience with PLC programming (Siemens and Allen Bradley), and proficiency in AutoCAD for schematics.

Controls Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze the processes of the assigned facility or equipment
• Identify shortcomings that could be addressed by automation
• Design systems to automate processes
• Maintain and repair systems
• Inspect systems to ensure safety regulations are met
• Develop technical manuals
• Design HMI and PLC programs
• Provide training to customers
• Commission projects

Controls Engineer Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience
• AutoCAD skills
• Familiarity with common PLC hardware
• Strong communication abilities
• Experience with large motors, VFDs, valves, transmitters, sensors, machine networking, and automation components
• Experience with large-scale water treatment or desalination plants is a plus
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
