Job summary
TalentBridge is supporting a well-established manufacturing company in Starkville, MS to hire an Electrical Controls Engineer II to join its engineering team at the Starkville facility. This hands-on role focuses on PLC programming, machine controls, electrical troubleshooting, control system design, and commissioning.
You will work closely with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Experience with control panels, field wiring, instrumentation, and machine controls.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions with machine control systems.
- Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications.
- Program and troubleshoot ladder logic.
- Work with Siemens and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Support setup and commissioning of new systems and equipment upgrades.
- Design, develop, maintain, and modify instrumentation and control systems.
- Perform start-to-finish electrical control system hardware design, including control panels and field wiring.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and quality.
- Work independently while collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
