Job summary

TalentBridge is supporting a well-established manufacturing company in Starkville, MS to hire an Electrical Controls Engineer II to join its engineering team at the Starkville facility. This hands-on role focuses on PLC programming, machine controls, electrical troubleshooting, control system design, and commissioning.

You will work closely with production and engineering to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
Experience with Siemens and/or Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Experience with control panels, field wiring, instrumentation, and machine controls.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions with machine control systems.
Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications.
Program and troubleshoot ladder logic.
Work with Siemens and Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Support setup and commissioning of new systems and equipment upgrades.
Design, develop, maintain, and modify instrumentation and control systems.
Perform start-to-finish electrical control system hardware design, including control panels and field wiring.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency and quality.
Work independently while collaborating with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
