Job description

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Electrical Controls Engineer to oversee the development of automated control systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical engineering, with proficiency in PLC programming (such as Allen Bradley), reading electrical schematics, and drafting schematics in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities for Electrical Controls Engineer

1. Assist or lead the development of project scope and the selection of team members.
2. Lead the completion of engineering and design work related to the installation and retrofitting of complex equipment.
3. Support maintenance with advanced troubleshooting of equipment.
4. Develop standards, processes, and procedures within the department.
5. Travel may be required (0-20%) over the project lifecycle, including visits to Highland Baking facilities and vendors.
6. Enhance equipment performance through modifications and installations.
7. Verify equipment performance by conducting tests and evaluations of physical assets and PLC systems.
8. Support the implementation of Quality Assurance and Food Safety initiatives.
9. Assess infrastructure requirements and needs.
