Electrical Controls Engineer (Hybrid)

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or EE Technology, or similar degree.
  • 5+ years experience with direct client facing experience.
  • Consulting, solutions-based engineering experience.
  • Prior exposure designing power and control systems for municipal and/or industrial facilities.
  • A P.E. license is desired.
  • Wastewater experience, a plus.
  • Experience in Industrial Power Distribution and motor/sensor controls experience.
  • A proven track record of interacting with engineers and designers.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with contractors and during the construction phase of a project.
  • Experience with Voltage Distribution & Motor Controls.
  • Behaviors: Interpersonal communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with PLC, Wonderware, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and/or GE.
  • Availability for regional travel, up to 5-10%, while working remotely from a home-based office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods, maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
  • Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design drawings and specifications.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, with a strong emphasis on communication.
  • Be flexible in adapting to changing and challenging situations.
  • Maintain awareness of business opportunities with clients through a solution-based, value-added approach; acting as a subject matter expert with the ability to solve problems and automate processes.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous personal, peer, and process improvement.
