Job summary

Leoforce in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, program, commission, and support electrical control systems for automated industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree in electrical/controls engineering, 3+ years of experience, and hands-on PLC programming and HMI development. Knowledge of integrated systems and security electronics is a plus; opportunities for growth exist within our automation team.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Hands-on PLC programming and HMI development experience.
• Experience coordinating electrical, controls, and automation components in integrated systems.
• Knowledge of security electronics such as CCTV, access control, door locking systems and related hardware is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, program, commission, and support electrical control systems for automated industrial equipment.
• Apply PLC programming and HMI development to real-world production lines.
• Collaborate on electrical controls design and integrated systems projects from concept to startup.

Job Details

• Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Recent hands-on experience with PLC programming and HMI development.
• Experience with integrated systems design, including the ability to coordinate electrical, controls, and automation components.
