Job summary

The Boring Company in Bastrop, TX is seeking an Electrical Control Panel Builder to assemble and wire industrial panels, junction boxes, and enclosures from engineering designs. You will transform electrical components, wire, and enclosures into reliable control systems used in tunneling machines and related equipment.

This hands-on role requires 1+ years of experience with schematics, wiring, hand tools, and testing.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials.
• Wiring, assembling, and testing industrial electrical control panels or similar equipment.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, crimpers, wire strippers, torque tools, and multimeters.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire industrial electrical control panels, junction boxes, and enclosures from schematics and BOMs.
• Install and terminate components including breakers, relays, contactors, and PLC hardware; manage VFDs and networks.
• Perform point-to-point wiring, routing, labeling, crimping, soldering, and torque verification with clean panel layouts.
• Inspect and test completed panels using electrical test equipment to identify wiring errors and defects.
• Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot builds and implement production changes.
