Sheakley Workforce Staffing in Bastrop, TX is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 4+ month, 1099 contractor role. The position pays $56/hr with weekly payroll and a $150/month completion bonus, on a 6x10s schedule with approximately 60 hours per week.

The role provides hands-on field safety oversight for electrical construction activities throughout a technically advanced project. OSHA 30 and CPR/AED certifications are required; bilingual and BCSP credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Construction certification is required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily safety oversight for electrical construction activities.
• Maintain a visible field presence with electrical crews and supervision.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, observations, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor electrical installation, temporary power, and equipment installation.
• Support safe execution of electrical infrastructure and power distribution work.
• Monitor LOTO and hazardous energy control activities where applicable.
• Review JHAs, permits, and pre-task plans.
• Monitor fall protection, elevated work, aerial lifts, and material handling.
• Identify unsafe conditions and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action implementation.
• Maintain required safety documentation, inspections, and compliance records.
• Provide field coaching and reinforce safe work practices with craft personnel.
• Coordinate closely with project management, supervision, and contractors.
