Job summary

Exact Electric in Seattle, WA is seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical Construction to lead technical coordination on complex commercial electrical projects. The role blends office and field work, with local site travel and collaboration with project managers, foremen, vendors, and clients.

You'll review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, manage RFIs and submittals, and support planning, scheduling, and project closeout while upholding NEC and state codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of electrical construction or project support experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specifications.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Knowledge of NEC, Washington State electrical code, and construction practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
• Journeyman Electrician license is preferred.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
• Experience with eSUB or similar construction management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Performing quantity takeoffs and plan markups using Bluebeam.
• Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinating material procurement and tracking deliveries.
• Supporting project planning, scheduling, and reporting.
• Maintaining accurate project records in eSUB.
• Collaborating with field teams to resolve technical questions and project challenges.
• Assisting with permitting, inspections, project closeout, and occasional site visits.
