Job summary

Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer I to support construction management in the electrical sector across the United States. You will help prepare plans, specifications, and provide project support to senior PMs in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years in commercial electrical construction, a bachelor’s in CM or Civil Engineering, and strong skills in blueprints, MS Office, and project scheduling tools. On-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera at an intermediate or higher level.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret applicable construction drawings and documents.
• Assist with plan/spec reviews and prepare checklists for contract features.
• Support cost estimates and project scheduling as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with daily/weekly reporting.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Observe field progress and ensure procedures/materials meet specs.
