Job summary

Cache Valley Electric Company seeks a motivated Project Engineer to support planning, coordination, and execution of electrical construction projects in Honolulu, Hawaii. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of electrical/construction/project engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and superintendents with daily coordination and execution.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, and contract documents.
• Assist with scheduling, procurement, material coordination, and delivery planning.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation.
• Coordinate with general contractors, engineers, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to resolve issues.
• Monitor project costs, labor productivity, and material usage to support financial performance.
• Track milestones, maintain records, and communicate schedule updates.
• Assist with meetings, minutes, and action item follow-ups.
• Support QA/QC efforts and ensure alignment with specs and codes.
