Job summary

NYSEG is seeking a Construction Manager to coordinate construction and commissioning activities across multiple projects in Maine, New York, and Connecticut. You will lead Field Construction Managers, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and ensure timely, cost-effective completion while upholding AVANGRID standards.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of electric utility construction management experience, the ability to navigate regulatory requirements, and strong leadership and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Experience leading field construction managers and coordinating multiple projects.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, scheduling, and budget controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide management for field Construction Managers in electric line and substation projects.
• Determine contract resource requirements and manage contractor performance.
• Coordinate field inspections, sign-offs, and environmental/agriculture considerations.
• Ensure functional testing is completed and facilities are commissioned.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigate construction risks across projects.
