Pfister Energy is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager based in Maryland or Pennsylvania, with regular travel to project sites across the state and occasional assignments nearby. You will lead electrical crews on commercial rooftop and ground‑mounted solar projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence across multiple sites.

This hands‑on leadership role requires strong field problem solving and collaboration with PMs and field teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of electrical construction experience.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role managing crews.
• Experience with commercial solar PV installations (rooftop and ground mount).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and solar electrical systems.
• Experience leading non-union, self-perform electrical teams.
• Ability to manage multiple active projects and travel within MD and neighboring states.

Responsibilities

Job description

Location: Maryland or Pennsylvania based, with regular travel to project sites throughout the state and occasional out-of-state assignments in neighboring states (e.g. MD, PA, NJ, VA, DE).

Role Overview:

Pfister Energy is seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to lead and coordinate all electrical construction activities across multiple commercial-scale rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV projects. This role provides direct field leadership to electrical crews, ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project documents, codes, and company standards, and serves as the primary electrical field leader supporting Construction Managers and Project Managers.

This position requires a hands‑on leader who can manage manpower across multiple sites, proactively resolve field challenges, and maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity while supporting aggressive project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Leadership & Crew Management

• Lead, supervise, and support Pfister Energy electrical foremen and electricians across multiple active projects
• Assign manpower, manage crew sizes, and adjust staffing based on schedules, productivity, and project priorities
• Mentor and develop electrical foremen and field staff
• Enforce Pfister Energy jobsite policies, procedures, and performance expectations

Electrical Construction Oversight

• Oversee installation of commercial solar PV electrical systems including:
• DC collection systems and homeruns
• Combiner boxes and DC disconnects
• String and central inverters
• AC collection systems, transformers, and interconnection equipment
• Grounding and bonding systems
• Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, AHJ, utility, and Pfister Energy standards
• Review electrical drawings, one‑lines, and specifications with field teams before and during construction
• Identify constructability issues early and collaborate with Construction Managers and Project Managers to develop solutions

Safety Leadership

• Champion Pfister Energy’s safety‑first culture across all job sites
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety programs
• Lead or support daily tailboard talks, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and site safety walks
• Immediately address unsafe conditions or behaviors and implement corrective actions

Schedule, Productivity & Coordination

• Coordinate daily and weekly electrical work plans with Construction Managers and Project Managers
• Track electrical progress, manpower levels, and productivity across multiple projects
• Identify schedule risks, manpower gaps, and material constraints and escalate as needed
• Coordinate electrical work with civil, structural, roofing, and other trades

Quality Control & Inspections

• Ensure electrical installations meet Pfister Energy quality standards and project QA/QC requirements
• Support internal inspections, third‑party inspections, AHJ, and utility inspections
• Assist with punch list completion, electrical closeout, and turnover documentation
• Support commissioning, testing, energization, and project closeout activities

Communication & Reporting

• Serve as the primary electrical field point of contact for Construction Managers
• Provide regular updates to the Director of Construction regarding manpower, progress, risks, and needs
• Document and communicate field issues, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities
• Support continuous improvement of Pfister Energy’s electrical means and methods

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of electrical construction experience
• Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role (Electrical Superintendent, General Foreman, or equivalent)
• Commercial solar PV experience (rooftop and ground mount)
• Strong working knowledge of NEC, OSHA, and solar electrical systems
• Proven experience leading non‑union, self‑perform electrical crews
• Ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously
• Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to access rooftops, ladders, and uneven terrain
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required
• Ability to travel regularly within Maryland and occasionally to neighboring states

Preferred Qualifications:

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license
• NABCEP certification
• Experience with utility interconnections and commissioning support
• Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software
• Strong leadership, accountability, and team development skills
• High level of field problem‑solving and decision‑making ability
• Clear, professional communication with field and management teams
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, schedule‑driven environment
