Job summary

Morrow-Meadows Corporation’s Summer Internship Program offers hands-on training for college students in the electrical and data communications construction industry. Summer 2027 interns are paired with mentors and gain practical experience while supporting ongoing projects in estimating, preconstruction, project management, or safety.

Internships are paid, full-time and typically run 8 to 10 weeks during the summer, with possible part-time opportunities year-round.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in CM/Architecture/Engineering or related field.
• Interest in learning about construction disciplines and safety.
• Honest and accountable with discretion.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Driven, dependable, and eager to learn.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable in office and project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with day-to-day coordination and administration.
• Support basic change order estimating and quantity takeoffs for electrical materials.
• Assist with material takeoffs for electrical components such as light fixtures and wiring devices.
• Help organize plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other documents.
• Prepare basic material submittals and track review status.
• Maintain project tracking logs and update information as needed.
• Assist with material tracking, purchasing coordination, and expediting.
• Coordinate with project vendors and subcontractors as needed.
• Support field labor reporting and timekeeping documentation.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and other learning opportunities.
