Job summary

VarcoMac is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join its electrical construction team in the DMV region. The role encompasses both preconstruction and project execution, delivering high-quality estimates from concept through closeout.

Reporting to the Electrical Division Manager, you will manage changes, coordinate with stakeholders, and support cost recovery and claims while handling multiple projects with a strong client focus.

Qualifications

• Experience managing electrical construction projects, including estimating and preconstruction responsibilities.
• Healthcare construction project experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and electrical design docs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial and healthcare electrical construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and bid docs.
• Develop bid proposals and support project pursuits and presentations.
• Manage change control processes and track changes across projects.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to incorporate changes into schedules and budgets.
