Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Project Manager in New York, NY to lead electrical construction projects from initiation through completion. The role focuses on scope, schedule, budget, and client communication, working closely with the Branch Manager to manage risks and ensure safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–8+ years of PM experience in construction or electrical contracting, with proficiency in project management and ERP software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5–8+ years of project management experience within construction or electrical contracting.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction projects and processes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
• Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management and ERP software.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of assigned projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and overall execution.
• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
• Build and sustain client partnerships to support repeat business and long-term growth.
• Review and understand project plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure high-quality workmanship across all phases.
• Identify and manage scope changes; document and process change orders effectively.
• Prepare and submit payment applications, submittals, change requests, and closeout documentation in a timely manner.
• Attend project meetings and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project financials and update project status in ERP systems.
