RTX is seeking an Electrical Components Engineer in the Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) organization to drive the selection of high-quality, cost-effective components for weapon system products in the Huntsville area.

You will interface with internal teams and external suppliers, evaluate risks, address obsolescence, and present findings through design reviews, supporting the circuit card lifecycle from development to production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
  • Experience in circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or PCB design.
  • Technical knowledge of board layout, PCB manufacturing and circuit card assembly.

The Effector Guidance Electronics (EGE) department develops electronics for weapon system products. We engage at the outset of the weapon system development and follow our designs through deployment. Our products are deployed all over the world, from the ground toexoatmosphericenvironments and into space. We are looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process, turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews.

What You Will Do:

As an Electrical Components Engineer at Raytheon, you will ensure the use of cost‑effective, high‑quality electrical parts that meet product and program requirements. You will select and specify components, verify their suitability, and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to support component development. In this role, you will evaluate risks and verification data to justify component choices, identify and promote preferred parts, address obsolescence concerns, and provide solutions that meet customer component needs.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree. Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application. Board layout experience of single and multi‑lamination boards. PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to effectively multi‑task.

Relocation Assistance

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short‑term and/or long‑term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective‑bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
