Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrical Inspector to ensure electrical systems meet safety, quality, and code standards (NEC) by conducting site inspections, reviewing drawings, identifying violations, and preparing reports for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

You will enforce regulations, maintain documentation, issue nonconformances, and provide technical guidance to TAS personnel while pursuing ongoing training in new electrical technologies.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years in electrical inspection (journeyman-level) experience
• ICC Electrical Inspector certification or equivalent
• Strong communication (written and verbal), attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management
• Effective working knowledge of NEC/IEC codes

Responsibilities

• Visit TAS sites to inspect electrical assemblies including wiring, panels, and equipment
• Verify compliance with NEC, local ordinances, and approved specifications
• Examine electrical drawings, plans, and specifications before and during assembly
• Detect faulty wiring, incorrect materials, or non-compliant assembly
• Create nonconformances for violations
• Prepare detailed reports, maintain records and document work performed
• Respond to inquiries and provide technical guidance to TAS personnel
• Investigate reports of unpermitted or unsafe electrical work
• Verify workmanship quality
• Create technical reports for internal use
• Apply sound judgment to resolve complex electrical compliance issues
• Attend training to broaden skills in new electrical technologies
• Ensure all final inspections have been obtained prior to project close out
• Halt work on nonconforming work as needed
• Other tasks assigned by TAS Energy
