Job summary

Rent a Recruiter is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Agent for projects across the AMER region. This role focuses on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and delivery of reliable, high-performance power solutions for critical facilities.

You will support FAT/SAT, startups, and field verifications while collaborating with clients and engineering teams to ensure conformance with project specs and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of electrical commissioning experience or equivalent technical training.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory and power systems.
• Experience with switchgear and critical power distribution equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and ladder logic.
• Familiarity with Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and Industrial Ethernet.
• Understanding of electrical safety and customer specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to work independently or in a team.
• NFPA 70 and OSHA 10 certification as required.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical commissioning projects alongside the Electrical Lead Commissioning Engineer.
• Work with switchgear, RPPs and PDUs on critical power equipment.
• Assist FAT, SAT, installation verification, startups and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and control circuits to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Collaborate with clients, third-party agents, suppliers and engineering teams.
• Review drawings, produce documentation, track progress and close punch lists.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and issue prevention.

We’re working with a global leader in critical power and energy management solutions, supporting the infrastructure that keeps some of the world’s most demanding facilities running. We’re now looking for an experienced, motivated Electrical Commissioning Agent to join the team and support projects across the AMER region.

This is an opportunity to work with advanced power technologies, collaborate with experienced engineering teams and play a key role in delivering reliable, high-performance electrical systems.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

• Supporting electrical commissioning projects alongside the Electrical Lead Commissioning Engineer.
• Working with critical power equipment, including switchgear, Remote Power Panels (RPPs) and Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
• Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation verification, equipment startups and commissioning.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems, control circuits and wiring issues to help ensure equipment performs safely and reliably.
• Working closely with clients, third-party commissioning agents, suppliers, subcontractors and engineering teams.
• Reviewing electrical drawings, producing technical documentation, tracking project progress and closing out outstanding punch list items.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and helping prevent recurring technical issues.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 2–3 years of relevant electrical, commissioning experience or equivalent technical training.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power systems and control circuits.
• Experience with switchgear and critical power distribution equipment. Knowledge of installation verification, startups and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and ladder logic.
• Familiarity with industrial communications such as Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and Industrial Ethernet.
• Understanding of electrical safety, industry standards and customer specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills.
• A proactive attitude, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• NFPA 70 and OSHA 10 certification, as required for the role.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

Must already have valid US work authorisation.

Experience in data centres or other critical infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
