Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with electrical systems expertise to support our mission-critical projects. You will participate in all project phases, develop tests, procedures, and reports, and coordinate with contractors and clients to ensure successful commissioning and startup.

The role emphasizes technical writing, field testing, and documentation for complex building electrical systems, with significant travel and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ year of consulting engineering experience preferred.
• Licenses/credentials such as PE or EIT a plus, LEED AP a plus (if applicable).
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all phases of commissioning projects including planning, scheduling, and coordination of work.
• Prepares commissioning scripts, reports, and on-site testing; trains on-site staff.
• Prepares start-up procedures, SOPs, MOPs, and comprehensive commissioning documentation.
• Develops and maintains commissioning logs, checklists, and project tracking tools.
• Interfaces with contractors, vendors, and testing technicians; conducts tests and compiles results.
