Job summary

opc operates and maintains simple-cycle combustion turbine assets in Georgia to optimize reliability, availability, and O&M costs while meeting safety and regulatory standards. The role covers operator rounds, troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and coordination with GSOC to ensure dispatch readiness.

Ideal candidates bring experience in power production operations, asset management, and the ability to lead teams and contractors during outages and major repairs.

Qualifications

• Six years' experience in operation or maintenance of a power production facility or equivalent.
• Experience with predictive maintenance and data interpretation of plant performance.
• Strong ability to train and lead technicians and contractors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain simple-cycle combustion turbine plants to ensure safe, reliable power generation.
• Perform operator rounds, start-up/shutdown, and document conditions for effective handoffs.
• Manage work orders, maintenance planning, materials, and inventory using MAXIMO and vault systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and governmental regulations; participate in safety meetings.
• Provide technical direction to junior technicians and contractors during major repairs.
