Job summary

ZimZee Recruiting is seeking a Certification Engineer to provide engineering support for evaluation, testing, and certification of electrical technologies. You will manage the certification process from initiation to completion, supporting FAA certification activities while ensuring compliance with standards.

The role requires attention to detail and the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external labs.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years experience testing and certifying electrical equipment.
Familiarity with industry, regulatory, and/or military standards and specifications.
Hands-on experience using test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition systems).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Familiarity with RTCA DO-160, RTCA DO-311A, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461F, FAA TSO is desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop certification test plans, test reports, and documentation.
Execute certification test programs to verify regulatory and quality compliance.
Coordinate testing with external laboratories and third-party resources.
Assist with prototype assembly, testing, and evaluation.
Design, build, or specify equipment for certification testing.
Evaluate new technologies to improve processes while ensuring quality and safety.
Provide testing and certification support for production activities.
