Job summary

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics in Wichita, KS seeks a Certification Engineer to support evaluation and testing of technologies. You will lead testing and certifying electrical equipment for FAA TSO, STC and PMA, overseeing the entire process from start to finish while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a minimum 3 years in testing/certification, strong problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills, with familiarity in RTCA/DO-160 or MIL

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience testing/certifying electrical equipment.
• Experience with industry, regulatory, and/or military standards.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition and electrical test equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail, organized and results oriented.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and certify electrical equipment for FAA TSO, STC and PMA activities.
• Manage the testing process from project start to finish.
• Review technical data and forms to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide top-notch customer service throughout certification projects.
