Job summary

Munters Corporation in Daleville, VA seeks a Working Cell Leader to support wiring units, building electrical panels, and directing production team members in flow lanes and sub-assembly areas.

You will lead morning Tier Meetings, update production boards, ensure orders meet ship dates, and uphold safety practices while developing skills of the workforce and maintaining quality paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Wire units and assemble electrical panels per BOM and diagrams.
  • Lead morning Tier Meetings with direct reports.
  • Update Tier Boards and provide daily updates at Tier Meetings.
  • Receive and manage components for work orders in assigned areas.
  • Ensure orders are built per schedule to meet ship dates.
  • Direct flow lane and subassembly teams with daily tasks.
  • Ensure labor tracking and in-process QA documentation.
  • Support supervisor in developing skills of employees.

Job description

Compensation Range: $ 23.11 plus $ 1.00

Scope

Working cell leader who, in addition to helping wire equipment or build electrical panels, is also responsible for assisting supervisor with daily work assignments and directing employees who report to production supervisor in specific work areas (i.e. flow lanes, sub-assembly areas). Additional work area assignments may apply.

Assembly Essential Duties
  • Work from bill of material (BOM), assembly drawings, prints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions to wire units, build electrical panels, and assemble sheet metal parts and components using various hand and power tools as needed.
  • Lead morning Tier Meetings with their direct reports in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Update Production Tier Boards and provide updates to the team members at our daily 9:10 AM Tier Meetings.
  • Receive and sign for purchase components and materials needed to build specific work orders in specific production areas.
  • Ensure scheduled orders are built per the production schedule to meet scheduled ship dates.
  • Direct and assist flow lane and subassembly employees with daily work assignments.
  • Ensure daily labor is entered and in-process check sheets are completed as required.
  • Responsible for safety awareness and enforcement of safety practices (including the use of PPE).
  • Assist supervisor with skills and knowledge development of existing and new employees.
  • Complete quality assurance inspection and in-process paperwork.
  • Maintain safe, and organized work area. Notify supervisor or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning equipment, operations, materials, inventory, or documentation.
Other Duties
  • Perform or assist with any operations throughout the factory, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
  • Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition. Consistently operate in keeping with all safety rules and requirements.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to assist with training new employees, integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Tools and Equipment

Use hand and hand power tools, assembly fixtures, crane devices such as vacuum lifters, cranes and forklifts.

Hours of Work Required

Standard work schedules plus overtime and weekend hours will be required to meet production demands.
