ELECTRICAL CAD TECHNICIAN

Location: Fort Worth, TX.
Job type: Contract-to-Hire

Our global EPC Firm client is hiring an Electrical CAD Technician for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Fort Worth, TX.

The Electrical AutoCAD Technician will assist technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers to create world-class detail on various projects.
This is an entry Level to intermediate level position.
Candidate will be skilled in AutoCAD. Any MicroStation is a plus.
Will work on Projects related to – Telecommunications and data centers, post substation.
Working on time sensitive projects such as telecom lines, data centers, fiber lines etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with preparing new drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
• Responsible for adhering to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
• Responsible for adhering to ANSI standard drafting practices.
• Assist in drafting, design, and documentation for various projects.
• Assist with tasks utilizing various drafting and design software.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Associate's degree in CAD-related program or specialized CAD certification plus 1-5 years of relevant drafting experience
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• AutoCAD Electrical and MicroStation are a plus
• A self-motivated and eager learner, the aptitude to grow and develop within the field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
