Job summary

Electric Supply and Equipment Company seeks a Design Technician to translate engineering intent into manufacturable layouts and to support testing and documentation efforts. You will update drawings, generate manufacturing files, and help maintain BOMs under engineer direction, while collaborating with sales, engineering and quality teams.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of CAD or panel layout experience, familiarity with EPLAN/AutoCAD, and strong attention to detail within an office

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in engineering technology.
• 1–3 years of experience in CAD, panel layout, or industrial documentation.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical components and basic control panel architecture.
• Working knowledge of EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured design workflows.

Responsibilities

• Apply redlines and updates from customers, Design Engineers, or Quality teams in EPLAN, AutoCAD, or other design software.
• Design and produce terminal block labels, phenolic tags, and other panel identification markers.
• Generate and manage manufacturing files for production use.
• Assist with internal testing activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, revision histories, and drawing packages.
• Support the creation and maintenance of Bills of Material (BOM) under engineer direction.
• Assist Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams by reviewing engineering documentation.
