Job summary

Electric Supply & Equipment is seeking a Design Technician to translate engineering intent into manufacturable designs, prepare layouts, and generate manufacturing files while supporting testing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include applying redlines, updating documentation, maintaining revision histories, and generating Bills of Materials under engineer direction, in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field required
• 1–3 years CAD, panel layout, or industrial documentation experience
• Familiarity with industrial electrical components and basic control panel architecture
• Working knowledge of EPLAN, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured design workflows
• Effective communication and collaboration with engineers, production and quality teams
• Highly organized with solid documentation and file management habits

Responsibilities

• Apply redlines and updates from customers, Design Engineers, or Quality teams in CAD software.
• Design and produce terminal block labels, phenolic tags, and other panel identification markers.
• Generate and manage manufacturing files for production use.
• Assist with internal testing activities as required.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, revision histories, and drawing packages.
• Support creation and maintenance of Bills of Material (BOM) under engineer direction.
• Review engineering documentation with Sales, Engineering, and Quality teams.
