Job summary

Softworld, a Kelly Company is seeking an Electrical CAD Drafter for a 12+ month contract onsite in Slidell, LA and Hunt Valley, MD. The role focuses on creating detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, TDPs, and MIL-STD-31000 compliant documentation for advanced military ground vehicle systems.

You will work with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems Engineers, apply GD&T, and manage documentation in PDM/PLM systems, requiring SolidWorks/AutoCAD proficiency and the ability to obtain U.S.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Strong ASME Y14.5 (GD&T) and ASME Y14.100 knowledge.
• Experience developing and checking formal production-level TDPs.
• Familiar with MIL-STD-31000 and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Translate concepts into detailed manufacturable 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Prepare MIL-STD-31000-compliant TDP drawings and Level 3 production docs.
• Review drawings, models, and BOMs for accuracy and manufacturability.
• Support mechanical structures, brackets, enclosures, assemblies, and subsystems.
• Apply GD&T and perform tolerance analyses.
• Manage documentation through PDM/PLM systems.
• Collaborate with Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems engineers and shop-floor staff.
