Job summary

Logical Systems LLC (LSI) is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer to join our Birmingham, AL team. You will develop electrical drawings, schematics, IO drawings, and loop/one-line diagrams to support multiple projects.

The role requires NEC knowledge, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical/AutoCAD LT/ePLAN/MicroStation, and the ability to travel to client sites for field verification. Strong drafting and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Current NEC knowledge and code interpretation ability.
Ability to identify field devices for schematics.
Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical/AutoCAD LT/ePLAN/MicroStation.
Strong MS Excel/Word/Outlook skills.
Excellent drafting, organization, and documentation abilities.
Ability to read and review engineering drawings.
Willingness to travel to client sites.
Able to access industrial equipment for field verification.

Responsibilities

Field verifications of electrical drawings and as‑built markups.
Develop complete design deliverables: site/layout drawings, I/O diagrams, control panel layouts, loop drawings, cables, BOMs, and scopes.
Review other resources’ drawings and supplier diagrams.
Provide on-site electrical construction support and I/O checkout when needed.
