Job summary

Logical Systems LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Electrical CAD Designer. You will create electrical drawings including schematics, IO drawings, loop sheets, and power diagrams to support diverse projects across industries.

Ideal candidates have NEC knowledge, experience with AutoCAD Electrical / LT and/or ePLAN or MicroStation, plus strong drafting skills and proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook. Travel to client sites and field verification are expected.

Qualifications

Current working knowledge of NEC with ability to locate solutions to code questions.
Identify field devices for schematics development.
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical / AutoCAD LT / ePLAN / MicroStation.
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
Excellent organizational, design and drafting skills.
Ability to read, understand, and review engineering drawings.
Ability to travel to client sites as required.
Ability to climb ladders and access industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Field verify drawings and mark-up to reflect as-built conditions.
Develop electrical design deliverables: site layouts, interconnection diagrams, IO drawings, control panel layouts, loop drawings, BOMs.
Check other resources’ and supplier drawings for accuracy.
Provide on-site electrical construction and I/O checkout support.
