Job summary

SEL Engineering Services in the United States is seeking a Designer to create detailed electrical and physical designs, develop CAD drawings, and support project documentation. You will work with technical leads to deliver high-quality design solutions for power system protection and automation.

The role requires an associates degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, strong writing and teamwork, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn concepts and technical details of products.
• CAD drafting competency with AUTOCAD or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs and support job estimates under supervision.
• Prepare CAD drawings and other project documentation.
• Provide design engineering support to project technical leads.
• Complete assigned work within timelines and budgets with high quality.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of SEL and industry design practices.
• Assist and mentor drafters with technical tasks.
• Develop knowledge of SEL equipment and solutions for power system protection and automation.
• Use best processes and tools and provide feedback on improvements.
• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
