Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical CAD Technician in Fort Worth, TX to support detailing teams on diverse projects. You will draft and revise drawings, prepare permit/plot drawings, and ensure compliance with drafting standards in an office setting.

Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD Electrical, and related tools is preferred. The role is contract-to-hire and onsite, offering $25–28 per hour with growth opportunities in a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
• Coursework in drafting technology or specialized CAD certification is required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Micro-Station is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager to learn and develop within the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing drawings and revising existing engineering drawings of basic components from specific sketches or layouts.
• Assist with preparing and revising permit and plot drawings.
• Adhere to company and client drafting standards and procedures.
• Follow drafting practices specific to the selected discipline.
• Assist in drafting design and documentation for various projects.
• Utilize standard drafting detail programs for various tasks.
• Contribute to continuous drafting detail improvement efforts.
• Research and recommend solutions to project concerns and design problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Comply with all company policies.
