Job summary

Southern California Edison is hiring a Design/Drafting Specialist in the Antelope Valley District Planning Team. You will deliver electrical designs from concept to execution, lead advanced CAD work, and mentor others while ensuring safety and reliability of power systems.

You will use AUD, CAD, and other tools to prepare drawings, estimates, and documentation, with a hybrid work arrangement and relocation not required. California residence is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ year CAD drafting experience or completed CAD certificate.
• Experience in utility design is preferred.
• Autsodesk AUD and AutoCAD experience.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate design drawings, diagrams, maps for utility distribution using CAD software.
• Assist with visualization deliverables including plans, profiles, schematics, renderings.
• Incorporate geospatial data from surveys into drawings and models.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and power quality analyses.
