Job summary

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering is seeking a Building Electrical Engineer Intern for the KAE group in Lenexa, KS. The internship offers hands-on experience in electrical design, lighting, and BIM coordination, with mentoring and growth opportunities.

You will assist in developing design standards, performing calculations, and coordinating with BIM staff across multiple projects, while gaining exposure to industry tools like Revit and lighting software.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus.
• GPA above 3.0 preferred.
• Familiar with Revit and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing building lighting, power and distribution designs.
• Perform Revit modeling and coordinate with BIM staff.
• Assist with calculations for lighting, electrical loading, short circuit, and energy codes.
• Support building standards and tools development.
