Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Breadboard Test Engineer in Dearborn, MI to validate electrical and software functionality across milestones. You will drive pre-test readiness, coordinate breadboard builds, manage ECU software config, and ensure DV plans align with FMVSS, ECE, and DV milestones.

The role requires hands-on testing, documentation, and collaboration with D&R, program management, and operations teams to deliver on-time results within GPDS timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in vehicle and breadboard electrical feature validation.
• 1+ years of experience with CANalyzer, VehicleSpy, and python scripting.
• 1+ years of experience with JIRA Issue tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Determine program content that impacts electrical DV with DV plans.
• Establish robust electrical DV plans and set up DV tools (ELMS, SPROUT) as needed.
• Create pre-test documentation and ensure test direction for DV, FMVSS/ECE.
• Manage software implementation on breadboard and DCV/test build communications.
• Communicate DV progress in management meetings and coordinate with build teams.
• Support certification/testing for type approvals and homologation.
