Job summary

EDAG is seeking an Electrical Systems Test Engineer in Allen Park, MI or Long Beach, CA to execute vehicle electrical test plans and validate system-level performance. You will collaborate with engineering teams to establish testing strategies, set pass/fail criteria, and ensure proper data capture for all test cases.

Required are a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 5+ years in systems or electronics, with strong lab skills and knowledge of automotive low voltage

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in systems or electronics.
• High technical competence in electrical engineering.
• Deep understanding of electrical first principles.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (O-scopes, DAQs, DMMs, function generators, power supplies).
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
• Understanding of automotive low voltage electrical systems.
• English proficiency (C1-C2).
• 1 year contract.
• Location: Allen Park, MI or Long Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Execute vehicle electrical system test plans to validate architecture.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to set testing strategies and pass/fail criteria.
• Identify and set up equipment required for test plans.
• Ensure accurate data is captured for all test cases.
• Review and analyze test data and escalate anomalies.
• Support system integration to bring up and debug test assets.
• Investigate and resolve electrical system issues.

DESCRIPTION

• Execute vehicle electrical system test plans to validate system-level electrical architecture performance and identify design weaknesses through stress testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to establish testing strategies and align specific pass/fail criteria.
• Identify and set up all equipment required for test plan.
• Ensure that accurate data is captured for all relevant test cases.
• Review and analyze test data, engaging the appropriate engineering teams when anomalous results are observed.
• Support system integration efforts to bring up and debug various electrical test assets such as bucks,labcars,and prototype vehicles.
• Investigate, root cause, and implement resolutions for electrical systems issues.

DESCRIPTION

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience working in systems or electronics.
• High technical competence in electrical engineering.
• Ability to dive deep into electrical first principles to reach a solution.
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DAQs, DMMs, function generators, power supplies, electronic loads etc.).
• Experience reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness drawings.
• Understanding of automotive low voltage electrical systems.
